Today I wanted to show you an apartment in Venice, designed by the Marcante Testa studio. This is the first apartment completed in the renovation of a nineteenth-century building on a small canal near San Marco. As you know, I periodically reflect the concept of authenticity (for example, see my place in Salone del Mobile 2017 and Salone del Mobile 2016) because I think it's really hard to do something new these days. Andrea Marcante and Adelaide Testa succeeded in mixing Memphis-inspired objects (learn more and see the Memphis-inspired Kartell collection, read here), elegant brass elements, unusual color combinations and frames and iron furniture I should never have said that all of this could work together, but the result is interesting and very balanced. I love the idea of framing doors, windows and the kitchen.
