Gucci opened a bookstore inside the Gucci Wooster boutique in Soho, New York. Approximately 2,000 volumes sold in the library were selected by Gucci's renowned creative director Alessandro Michele and Dashwood Books founder David Strettell. I decided to publish this news not only because it was worth showing you the inside of the library, but above all, because I was happy to decide to sell books in one of the stores of a fashion brand. Alessandro Michele is an intellectual and the inspiration for his collections comes mostly from the art of costume; I didn't get a chance to ask him, but it's clear. I think it is a duty to exhibit and sell books that inspire the collection and others that are part of the Gucci world. Years ago, one of the best places to buy photography and art books was the Armani shop in Via del Babbuino. We hope that the books will be forced back to boutiques and that the basic concept of creativity nurtured by culture will increase.
