It's surprising how things turned into fashion in a different version. Twenty, thirty years ago, velvet-covered sofas were very common, but the colors chosen were predominantly beige, brown-yellow and some blue. My mother recently baptized her grandmother's armchairs and armchairs with a white fabric, first in a very original green / blue silk velvet (I will never forgive her). The velvet has changed its tone by being fashionable again. The new velvet sofas are pink, bright yellow, dark green, dark purple; they want to be noticed and not to disappear into space. Technically, it is not a velvet fabric but a fabric. The most common is made of velvet-type cotton yarn, but it can also be a silk woven or a mixture of the two, or made with artificial fibers. In general, it is a soft cover, not too hot and very durable. This may be dry cleaning (but be careful only if indicated in the instructions!) Or, quick intervention can be cleaned by rubbing the affected area with a damp cloth (before doing so, the result is better). Silk velvet is more elegant than others and is also more expensive. In old buildings, it was widely used for its valuable appearance. The sofas I prefer among the colors I selected for you were a green floor along with a gray floor (first and second photo from the top) and an orange to cover a brick with a pale pink along with a wooden structure below
